  • WHAT A LOAD OF **** ! More than 60 YEARS ago - a nation recovering from WW2 - when 17 Million of its citizens & approx 7 million of its troops were MASSACRED by the NAZIs sent a MAN into SPACE. That man was YURI GARGARIN and THAT was 1961 . That WAS INNER SPACE ..... NOT OUTER SPACE. THE USA claims they went into OUTER SPACE in 1969 . However ' THEY LOST the TECHNOLOGY and are UNABLE TO GO BACK ' WHAT A LOAD OF **** ! NO OTHER NATION in the WORLD has sent LIVING CREATURES BEYOND THE VAN ALLEN BELTS and BROUGHT THEM BACK to EARTH ........ NO ONE HAS . All this sending ROCKETS up into the upper Earths atmosphere & bringing them back to Earth is TOTAL BULL****. It's a CIRCUS ACT to LOOK GOOD . When will these ROCKETS GO INTO OUTER SPACE - BEYOND THE VAN ALLEN BELTS - with a HUMAN PAYLOAD and COME BACK to EARTH SAFELY ???????

    • @Big Chungus I am an old man and am really tired of young men & women who know little about life - most never having experienced war or recessions ---- lecturing me about life . There will be NO HUMANS going beyond the Van Allen belts into DEEP SPACE -- It is NOT possible . If it were , the Russians and the Chinese would have already done it . If it happens before I die - I will make a large contribution to a Children's Charity .

      Patrick BrownPatrick BrownPrieš dieną
    • @Patrick Brown well i am aware of this, and they plan of going through the van allen belts like said on a mission profile of the Delta IV Heavy

      Big ChungusBig ChungusPrieš dieną
    • @Big Chungus --In case YOU are not aware - the Russians launched the first SPACE STATION in 1971. It was called ' SALYUT 1 ' THAT WAS 50 YEARS AGO . All this is - OLD HAT & BULL**** I little bit like your expletives . All over the world there are AMATEUR ROCKETEEERS who fire large rockets into the sky as a hobby and go to the edge of INNER SPACE . In order to EXPLORE the UNIVERSE we as humans MUST GET BEYOND the VAN ALLEN BELTS - into DEEP SPACE . But of course - this is NOT POSSIBLE NOW and it has NEVER BEEN POSSIBLE . We may be able to send Spacecraft with HUMANS into DEEP SPACE some time in the distant future - BUT NOT NOW . You are obviously a person of amazing intellectual capabilities . Your ' oneliner ' reflects this . You should write to Mr Musk and give him a detailed report on how he will achieve the impossible .

People cry with emotions seeing their work function as designed.. If something like this doesn't motivate a young school student want to do something like this in life nothing will. It also comes down to politics. Some people arehappy with just a job. Other want a career. Others want a passionate career. aiden desmondaiden desmondPrieš 24 dienas
    • @aiden desmond None of these boosters came anywhere close to "leaving Earth's orbit". They are rocket boosters. They don't even REACH orbit, much less "leave" orbit. You just sound like an idiot. The astronauts that went to the moon didn't even leave Earth orbit. The *_MOON_* hasn't left Earth orbit. Again - you sound like an idiot. They even describe in the very video you are commenting on that the two side boosters are able to turn around and land because they aren't going very fast when they are jettisoned. That's why they are able to return to the launch site and land on landing pads. The third booster lands in the ocean because they don't have the fuel to turn it back around, so it lands on a drone ship. It's just computers and GPS and thrust. Normal people have written code and used PID controllers to pinpoint land in the game Kerbal Space Program. I'm sure hundreds of the world's best rocket engineers and ballistic trajectory experts with hundreds of millions of dollars at their disposal can figure out how to land a rocket like this. It is still amazing, but not unbelievably so. Even in the 1960s when returning men from the moon, they could splash down within a few miles of their target - and they were at the mercy of winds and drag. They weren't powered descents. You don't think after 50+ years of advancements and actual thrust at your disposal you can hit a target like this? Even in the 1980s, we could pinpoint land a Space Shuttle from *_ACTUAL_* orbit without *_ANY_* power. Do you deny all of that too? Perhaps you do. We have a pretty good handle on gravity and rocket mechanics at this point, and we have a pretty good handle on how to manipulate thrust and attitude in space. The method by which SpaceX lands is pretty close to what is known as a "suicide burn" (SpaceX calls them "hoverslams" because of the bad PR calling them "suicide burns" would bring). Perhaps you should look these things up and stop embarrassing yourself.
