SpaceX is targeting Wednesday, May 26 for the next Falcon 9 launch of 60 Starlink satellites from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The instantaneous window is at 2:59 p.m. EDT, or 18:59 UTC, and a backup opportunity is available on Thursday, May 27 at 2:37 p.m. EDT, or 18:37 UTC.

Falcon 9’s first stage booster previously supported the Sentinel-6A mission. Following stage separation, SpaceX will land Falcon 9’s first stage on the “Just Read the Instructions” droneship, which will be located in the Atlantic Ocean. One half of Falcon 9’s fairing previously supported four Starlink missions, and the other previously supported a Starlink mission and the Transporter-1 mission.

  • I never get tired of watching these launches. Well done SpaceX!

  • Elon Musk, his companies, I love you all! You should have made a magnetic rail tunnel embedded in the earth at a 50 degree angle of exit about 7 miles long, and you could launch all the fossil fuels into space using less than a third of the fuel,(will only be needed for vector control and stabilizing) which is one of the primary expenses, using solar energy, transmitted from space using massive mirror arrays located in the north and south pole that reflect and focus massive amount of solar energy into orbital generators that transmit power back to earth via tight microwave beam, routed then via cables to the world.(transatlantic cable etc) You then can modularly launch humans , materials , fuel into space safely using the sun. It would be far safer and efficient and better in every way. You can launch modular massive 3d printer arrays that can land on a planet and establish a setup for landing and housing before you even arrive. Using a simple tapered cone for insertion landing on a pad, like a mating fit would eliminate many issues. It would be a simple frame construct sleeve affixed to a landing platform created as well by the 3d printers. I love you all, but the most ironic thing has occurred. Your companies literally have every technology to do this , and are leading most, yet you are choosing archaic methods over reasoning and higher scope logic, risking lives and material and wasting time. Is it oversight, I imagine so, or you are already building one. These are the only two options. So, you have to be able to see in time if you really want to mastermind how to travel in space. Otherwise you just waste it. The 60's HArp project proved you can do this as well, yet with a magrail tunnel, it could launch everything, safely, humans and all, using the sun, using fossil fuels where they actually won't cause us harm; in space. If anyone is presuming to judge me, just know that Yale and Standford representatives came out to me when I was 15 to test me because of what happened in HighSchool. They said this, not me, that I am a creative genius off the charts. A borderline genius with numbers and such, and I have excellent coordination, which effects more than just the body. I have already created the fastest form of human powered transportation, which is a new form of bicycle that has a 1.5 times gain over any other bicycle or human powered set up , period. I also just hacked my own cooling technique in which one of the presidents of the company that I acquired certain components from contacted me because no one has ever used their technology like I have, and I am achieving superior results all across the board, efficiency, safety, performance. I really hope all you arrogant naysayers wake up and learn how to find true masterminds, and not just assume things so much, BYE!

  • Az normális, hogy ilyen ütemben lassul a rakéta az űrben? Vagy majdnem az űrben... Is it normal for a rocket to slow down in space at such a rate? Or almost in space ...

    Attila BagotaAttila BagotaPrieš 3 mėnesius
    • @Attila Bagota it would be easier if You could give timestamp. From what You described it looks like issue with data syncing. Orbital parameters of IInd stage are calculated using 3 methods: 1. GPS (not very accurate because of speed and attitude) 2. Internal (inertia based) devices inside IInd stage 3. (most accurate) ground stations monitoring orbital movement. It is possible that IInd stage lost connection with 1 ground station, switched to inertia & GPS systems and than reconnected with 2nd ground station.

      Wojtek SykurskiWojtek SykurskiPrieš 3 mėnesius
    • @Wojtek Sykurski arra gondolok, hogy mikor már keringett az űrben és az adatok alapján folyamatosan lassult...és nekem egész gyorsnak tűnt a lassulás, de lehet ez normális volt és mikor már "túl lassú", akkor ismét gyorsítanak... i think when it was already orbiting in space and based on the data it slowed down constantly ... and to me the deceleration seemed quite fast but it may have been normal and when it was already "too slow" they will accelerate again ...

      Attila BagotaAttila BagotaPrieš 3 mėnesius
    • Can You be more specific? It looks like You're mixing Ist stage speed with IIstage. Ist stage returns to Earth and lands on drone barge. IInd stage is the one achieving orbit. About orbits & speeds: if we are talking about circular (not elliptic) orbits, speed depends on the orbit radius (in relation to center of the Earth). The higher is the radius the higher is the speed. In fact: if You want to move ship from lower orbit to higher one, You do not point the nose "up" and start Your engines. You point the "nose" of the ship in direction of prograde of movement and start engines to increase speed.

AFAIK Texas is very liberal for taxes (no individual/company taxes on state level, only federal), but money transactions are taxed. Plus SpaceX is making around 0.5 BLN$ donations to local colleges & high-schools. PS. Potential workeres can cause problems (drunk fights and so), but in case of space nerds this should not be the case.

To the man who wastes money and resources on space exploration I say we should only start thinking about space once we have fixed our home planet there are to many problems that we are yet to fix on our own planet. And to anyone who says that we invest in space exploration to understand more about our planet I call bullshit. In short you are the richest person on the planet and you waste your money on a far fetched fantasy dream rather than looking at reality.

      Wojtek SykurskiWojtek SykurskiPrieš 3 mėnesius
    • @Jason Clark Yep, from Poland. This is why I mentioned about Global Government. I don't know if You know current political situation in Poland. It's going straight to authoritarian dictatorship. And this government does have great public support. They are winning in democratic elections all the time.

      Wojtek SykurskiWojtek SykurskiPrieš 3 mėnesius
    • @Jason Clark Part 2: Today world is off course much more complicated. And some analogies are not quiet obvious at first. For example: we could grow enough food for every person in the world. But there is a catch there: this would cause further env. devastation and would require us to use advance technology. Not only to grow food, but also to transport it around the world. For ex.: You cannot grow bananas in Greenland. And this is even more complicated: this technology all requires something: industry. This (depending on the used energy sources) might cause future ecological destruction. Or not: switching to renewable energy could help mitigate this problem. But modern day technology has also it owns requirements. mostly rare earth metals and minerals. Extractions of them (mining) is also causing further environment havoc. It might also look like we are in much tougher position than Rapa Nui: we cannot simply "sail" to Moon, or Mars and settle them. But Rapa Nui have different problem: Easter Island is quiet isolated, they could not see any other land near them. So eventual exodus would be completely blind. We on the other hand know that there are the places to go: call it Mars, call it Moon, call it O'Neill Cylinders. The problem here is that we need at first adopt those places to be livable for us. Does that means that we should abandon any work related on space exp. and focus only on Earth? Well: Global Warming is quite Serious thread. But we do know that there are already countries searching for benefits from this disaster. And those (China, Russia) are quire powerful countries: You cannot simply force them to switch to renewable energy. Another Big Threat: nuclear war. Once again: China will not disarm them self, neither Russia. My point here is that there always gone be peoples who will not play with the rules. They will exploit those who are doing that to they own benefits. And they will take benefits from this world problems. There are also other aspects: like extracting resources from Near Earth Asteroids or Moon (at least those resources, which extraction is causing grate environment destruction on Earth). But maybe later: please tell me what do You think?

      Wojtek SykurskiWojtek SykurskiPrieš 3 mėnesius
    • @Jason Clark Ok, maybe at first I will put my opinion + sorry for any mistakes, English is not my native language. Current situation of whole humanity reminds me of Eastern Island ( native inhabitants Rapa Nui ( We know they history because some of them were still alive when first Europeans sailors came there + they knew the handwriting - some of they scripts has been saved. Long story short: they came to that island at around 1000 AD and devastated natural resources by agriculture. At some point in time they were unable to grow any more crops there. This lead to internal wars, cannibalism and complete collapse of they civilization. According to some of they manuscripts, when the situation started to be bad there, some of peoples wanted to leave: build new boats and sail in search for different land. They were defeated by others who wanted to stay and use all of remaining resources to save they Island. Unfortunately for them: they failed. According to some of archaeological estimates they population decreased from almost 100 000 to ~ 2000 in less than 1 century. Those still alive would be most likely also dead in 2 or 3 centuries. They land was simply completely barren after centuries of farming exploitation. There were some speculations about they history. Were they able to save they island? Most of the researches says no. Simply to many peoples to feed. But some other researches asked what would happen if some of them would have leave, and the rest would try to save island. Well: they most likely would succeed. I think that I need to split this into 2 posts, because of YT limit. I will replay in next one in few seconds.

If done on a rotating bases between passengers and crew it would reduce the rate at which supplies is consumed within a sleeper class vessel. This could theoretically be prolonged with steady doses of anesthetics nearing the 29 hour mark; that why we could cut down on food supplies consumption.
