On Friday, April 23 at 5:49 a.m. EDT, 9:49 UTC, SpaceX and NASA launched Dragon’s second six-month operational crew mission (Crew-2) to the International Space Station (ISS) from historic Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Following stage separation, Falcon 9’s first stage landed on the “Of Course I Still Love You” droneship, stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

Crew-2 is currently in orbit and is expected to autonomously dock with the International Space Station on Saturday, April 24, at approximately 5:10 a.m. EDT, 9:10 UTC.

  • Elon Musk, his companies, I love you all! You should have made a magnetic rail tunnel embedded in the earth at a 50 degree angle of exit about 7 miles long, and you could launch all the fossil fuels into space using less than a third of the fuel,(will only be needed for vector control and stabilizing) which is one of the primary expenses, using solar energy, transmitted from space using massive mirror arrays located in the north and south pole that reflect and focus massive amount of solar energy into orbital generators that transmit power back to earth via tight microwave beam, routed then via cables to the world.(transatlantic cable etc) You then can modularly launch humans , materials , fuel into space safely using the sun. It would be far safer and efficient and better in every way. You can launch modular massive 3d printer arrays that can land on a planet and establish a setup for landing and housing before you even arrive. Using a simple tapered cone for insertion landing on a pad, like a mating fit would eliminate many issues. It would be a simple frame construct sleeve affixed to a landing platform created as well by the 3d printers. I love you all, but the most ironic thing has occurred. Your companies literally have every technology to do this , and are leading most, yet you are choosing archaic methods over reasoning and higher scope logic, risking lives and material and wasting time. Is it oversight, I imagine so, or you are already building one. These are the only two options. So, you have to be able to see in time if you really want to mastermind how to travel in space. Otherwise you just waste it. The 60's HArp project proved you can do this as well, yet with a magrail tunnel, it could launch everything, safely, humans and all, using the sun, using fossil fuels where they actually won't cause us harm; in space. If anyone is presuming to judge me, just know that Yale and Standford representatives came out to me when I was 15 to test me because of what happened in HighSchool. They said this, not me, that I am a creative genius off the charts. A borderline genius with numbers and such, and I have excellent coordination, which effects more than just the body. I have already created the fastest form of human powered transportation, which is a new form of bicycle that has a 1.5 times gain over any other bicycle or human powered set up , period. I also just hacked my own cooling technique in which one of the presidents of the company that I acquired certain components from contacted me because no one has ever used their technology like I have, and I am achieving superior results all across the board, efficiency, safety, performance. I really hope all you arrogant naysayers wake up and learn how to find true masterminds, and not just assume things so much, BYE!

There is no such thing as America so there is no such thing as an American Rocket or an American... The Falcon 9 and Dragon programs are a endeavours of the Human Species with assistance from so many international partners in developement... The Space X and NASA puppets keep quoting so-called President Drumpf about nationalist rockets with nationalists on board from the land of fiction and branding for the second time in 9 years...

  • I'd like to ask SpaceX; when the second stage of the missile hits the firmament, what's the furthest distance achieved through the waters above the firmament, before the missile loses all its energy? When we see the spiraling ripples, I assume that's the first stage of the missile, slamming into the firmament, whilst the second stage is launched into the firmament and the waters above? If it is understood the moon is a plasma phenomenon, that occurs in the ionosphere; why are there missions still being touted in 2021? I thought it has been understood since at least 1965?

  • Congrats to ALL involved! THIS, this is what we can do when there is 110% collaboration, knowledge, communication, and shared dreams between large groups of humans. Our Earth bound problems wouldnt havent to be any different. Homelessness, famine, healthcare, education, climate change and environmental degradation could all be 100% sorted and solved by our brilliant minds if only we attacked such issues as a collective species, without politics, without greed, just pure science, goal setting, and sheer collaboration and goodwill. Its what keeps us in space and its what could save our planet and species, if we wanted to.

JOSHUA MARVEL MANJOSHUA MARVEL MANPrieš 4 mėnesius
    • So first off: You don't need to pilot a rocket after leaving earth when going to mars. (Or any other object in space) Once you propell yourself on a trojectory to encounter mars, you just... "float" there. Also, the communication delay between planets doesn't matter because the lndings is done fully autonomously (for example Perseverance)

  • The link below describes a new mechanical phenomenon, which allows you (like Baron Munchausen some 300 years ago) to lift yourself into the air by pulling yourself up by your own hair. And here is the link: ltsoft.info/down/3JGUaH6xbavYfL4/vaizdo-ra-as&ab_channel=PeterAxe IMPORTANT NOTE. The principle of operation of the new mechanical phenomenon must be evaluated and realized (SOLELY AND ONLY!) by a highly qualified expert (Ph. D.) in theoretical and applied mechanics. Otherwise nothing will come of it. Looking forward to your comments.

  • They are going to keep these pods up there and make the space station bigger and bigger right? Imagine if they could add 100's of pods up there and have a space mansion. It costs a lot to add to the real estate up there don't throw the thing back down into the ocean. Just kidding I know they need it to get back down... but they need a way to add on to it up there so that they can make it huge.

    • A dragon capsule takes up a docking port of the ISS, so only a limeted number of dragon capsules can dock to the ISS. The ISS has only 4 docking ports, so only 4 Dragons can dock. Of course you could dock another segment for the ISS, adding more docking ports. Answering your 1st question: No, they are not keeping the pods up there. They need them to return to earth.
